This is why I would not have traded Amare for Gasol or Bargnani. Amare has pride.

I'm not even sure that I'd do Tyson Chandler for Dwight Howard straight up. Sounds crazy, but Tyson Chandler is one of the main hearts and souls of our franchise moving forward.

Phew- though I hate the fact that our season hinges on the status of Felton's pinky- it's going to be a stressful few weeks, hoping he doesn't re-injure it.

Good win, and another great game by Amar'e- love what he's doing and how he's changed his game so quickly- thought it would take a season or two to get to where he's at right now.

Now all those posters that where saying STAT couldn't have picked up anything in just 2 wks with Hakeem can choke on that! Also all the guys kickin dirt on him. It's fare to bash STAT for his lousy D but he has really been busting his butt to try and improve. I've been sayin they need to get him the ball more and I'm glad to see the team looking for him more and more. He's looked great! Melo, STAT n Tyson are shutting the critics up!

If the dude isn't happy playing with Kobe why would he be happy playing with Melo and having to deal with the media in NYC? He's mentally soft. Hope he finds his way to the Nets so I can watch him crash and burn and take the Nyets with him.

Kobe is old and doesnt want to give up the reigns.

When you got a big like Howard you play inside out. Plain and simple.

I think Melo and Howard would click. Melo would get better looks if they double Howard or Howard would get single coverage because of Melo.

No thanks. Howard is not a closer. Howard struggles at FT line. Howard is turnover prone. Howard is childish.

Chandler and Amar'e are a fine combo, in my opinion.

Howard not a closer? The man took his team to the NBA finals.

Howard did NOT want to go to the Lakers and play with Kobe. It's just that simple.

Gimpy Howard is STILL the best center in the NBA hands down.

Definitely would take Dwight at the end of the season, but right now like most teams, it's better to go with what we have right now.

No way, I can't stand Dwight- he has one of the worst attitudes in the game and accepts zero responsibility. JVG nailed it a few days ago when he blasted him for his constant "waffling" and said essentially Dwight wants to play for a championship team, to be the main offensive option, with no personal responsibility or accountability, and paid the max.

Dwight would explode under the NY scrutiny, he'll be recovering from his back injury all season (who knows if he ever gets back to 100%) and his shoulder injury will continue to get re-aggravated for the remainder of the season too.

But we should trade all star center Tyson Chandler AND an Amar'e who is playing better defense, and giving 16 pts and 6 rebounds in 20 to 25 mins, and has added a nifty post game, for a hampered Dwight? Because he used to be a big name?

We cant get Howard at the end of the season. He will be a UFA and the new sign and trade restrictions make it impossible for him to come here.
