the knicks should have beaten the spurs last night because the spurs had to have been tired. the spurs tried desperately to crawl back in by the end of the first half and you kind of sensed that this was their last gasp for the night. they predictably unraveled once their energy disappeared.
knicks looked great being merciless.
But the announcer was saying how the spurs have such a deep team and great bench.Where was their bench? Also steven jackson is dumb ass for tripping lol
the regular season has too many games and the schedule all too often is going to be brutal on all players, starting or bench, old and young. even athletes in tremendous shape are going to wear out playing 4 games in 5 nights.
fortunately playoff formats are far less condensed, allowing teams proper rest. this is surely what popovich has in mind, being the ultimate regular-season sandbagger. he made an empty effort to play his main guys so as to avoid censure from stern but it was clear he knows his team and their ability to compete. when he saw it was fruitless to do so he rested his main guys.
popovich is clever-- looking at the boxscore you have to laugh: duncan 24 minutes, ginobili 24 minutes, parker 24 minutes.
knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%
