No question it was not the time to let Amare work out his rust but like others have said it was needed to cross that theshold for the long haul. We game out flat again the first few minutes giving up countless offensive rebs to Hickson and Alridge and allowing them to get in the paint with ease. Tyson took the blame but blame it on his ankle. Doesn't explain the month long trend though

who are the captains of the knicks? they need to step it up and set the example. leaders of the team need to set the tone defensively.
knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

Are ball movement was very good and we bricked open shots. That did not help and can be blamed as well.

The Knicks lost as a team. There is no one to be singled out. The defense was horrid all around and everyone not named Melo or JR was missing open shots.

You can't always win because of X player but only lose because of the team.

If they don't brick? We win.

If Amare does not play? We probably win even with the bricks.

Just like we won against the Kings, without Amar'e, who are worse than the Blazers... Oh Wait!

he is taking 24 shots a game and expending energy on the downhill side of the court but he can't demand the same of himself and his teammates on the uphill side? you mean he can't simply say "i am playing hurt and playing as hard as i can. we can score but we need to smother them. lets stop them first and then worry about scoring."

simple!

Do you feel that Melo has not given his all on defense this year? Or, at least has shown significant improvement? He is defending his butt off.
