Curious to see how Amar'e performs, but it's going to take a while for him to get back in the swing of things. I'm hoping he can prove his now many doubters wrong- I think people exaggerated his decline last year (his FG% improved each month and by March he was 18pt, 8 reb 56%FG in 32 mins- that would be great for us). Once he'd lost the weight, he was more explosive and looking like his old self. Of course the knee injury could change all that (especially if its arthritic).
Anyways, Amar'e aside, we have a game to win. Looking like Sheed and Felton are out, and Melo is a game time decision (so is Amar'e- he intended to play as of last night, but we don't know how he's feeling today).
I expect Lillard to have a career night, since we seem to be back to our old habbits of letting everyone have a career night vs us. If JR couldn't resist partying last night, I expect him to have a stinker of a game. Aside from that, I have no idea how this game is going to go!
Blazers bench is one of the worst in the league (hope we don't make them into scrubs of the game), but their starting unit is good, and their front court could swipe all the rebounds we need.
Life's going to be tough without Felton, but let's start the new year on the right note, and put the last loss behind us- we need to get back on a winning streak!
