Melo? the Return of Stat?

Got a lot on my plate for options today so I turn the game on and both out im less interested. I still might watch.

If Im selling tickets or want viewers to tune in and Im the knicks I keep my mouth shut and let it happen game time what ever.

Thats show business folks, its broadway, you don't know if the star is out until showtime.

Last year Lin was "A star is born"!

This year we just have a good team.

All the wins are important! I hope Stat and Melo begin.

Its about time!

New York Knicks forward Amar'e Stoudemire will make his season debut on Tuesday against Portland, league source tells Y! Sports.

Is it ok to be cautiously excited?

I can't wait to see some post moves from Amare.

I don't care how he plays. I wan't to see him play 5 games without getting hurt.

My expectations are mow minuscule.

Yeah this is kind of where im at right now. A large part of this though will fall on Woody to monitor his minutes

Of course it is. Stoudemire looked explosive as EVER during his one preseason game before finding out he needed a cyst removed. Stoudemire is coming to perform.

I Miss Raymond Felton, Felton loves looking for Chandler feasting down low. Also loves looking for Amar'e. But, I can't wait for the return of both Melo and Amar'e.

Curious to see how Amar'e performs, but it's going to take a while for him to get back in the swing of things. I'm hoping he can prove his now many doubters wrong- I think people exaggerated his decline last year (his FG% improved each month and by March he was 18pt, 8 reb 56%FG in 32 mins- that would be great for us). Once he'd lost the weight, he was more explosive and looking like his old self. Of course the knee injury could change all that (especially if its arthritic).

Anyways, Amar'e aside, we have a game to win. Looking like Sheed and Felton are out, and Melo is a game time decision (so is Amar'e- he intended to play as of last night, but we don't know how he's feeling today).

I expect Lillard to have a career night, since we seem to be back to our old habbits of letting everyone have a career night vs us. If JR couldn't resist partying last night, I expect him to have a stinker of a game. Aside from that, I have no idea how this game is going to go!

Blazers bench is one of the worst in the league (hope we don't make them into scrubs of the game), but their starting unit is good, and their front court could swipe all the rebounds we need.

Life's going to be tough without Felton, but let's start the new year on the right note, and put the last loss behind us- we need to get back on a winning streak!

What time is this game? I doubt Amar'e plays but I am of the opinion that rehabs are sometimes needlessly protracted,

That is,

Sometimes game action, in small doses, is the best rehab. Sometimes a player and a medical staff will fall into this practice of "wait wait wait until ready", but why not put him in game action for 4 minutes, then 8 minutes the next game, then 12 minutes,

We all know people learn best by DOING, you can only rehab and practice so much, there comes a point where the best practice and rehab is actual game action,

Throw him out there for 8 minutes tonight, just to get in the flow

I'm excited to see Stat back, but I don't think he should play more than 10-12 minutes. It'll be like a simulated practice, but there is no Aldridge or Hicks in practice.

I think Melo will go if he is 100 percent, he said their is no pain, but the strength/lift wasn't there yesterday. If he feels strong enough he'll play or he'll be ready for the Spurs.

As happy as I am (going to be) for Stat, to be perfectly honest all I really want (player-participation wise) is for Melo to return and drop 30+ on the Blazers :)
would be a great way to start off the year.

oh yeah, happy new year everybody :)

Woodson confirms Amare will play. Limited minutes and will come off the bench. Melo remains a game-time decision.

Man some of you guys are in a real dark place, I don't know why, but you would think the knicks played in Brooklyn right now from reading a couple of you guys.

I know, all I'm sensing right now is doom and gloom, but if you ask me, we're in a happy place,

Granted, MSG is lying through their teeth on Melo but I am still hoping for the best,

It's only January and we're up there with teh big boys plus JR Swagnuts has more than proven his worth as a temporary Big Kahuna,

Amar'e coming back will inspire our hearts and give us good feelings in the stomach, more than enough to push for the win against the Blazers and he can only get better after that

You're kidding me. Stoudemire's been out since the preseason, and who's to say he's "only 80%"? Maybe, just maybe... He's ready for his return.

On a side note, Stoudemire returning has nothing to do with Melo's injury. Nothing what so ever. With or without Melo, Stoudemire was on the verge of returning.

It's now 2013 people. Use some common sense please.
