I would love nothing more than to sweep Brooklyn in the 1st round! As long as we don't get Miami, Chicago or Boston in the 1st round

Those 3 guys are so overrated it's not even funny. They're supposed to be this big time back court and Lopez is such a scorer most of the time, but I think they don't really raise their level of play nor lift their teammates as much as they should for the level they're supposed to be as players.

The Knicks have more mentally tough players IMO. We still have STAT and Shump out of the mix and still the Nets aren't able to really match the Knicks intensity. It's not Wallace, Humphries or Evans. Deron, Joe and Lopez need to be the ones setting the tone.

Dwight screwed them. That's what you're seeing with BK. That's why they had to spend money on the likes of Overrated Joe.

Like I said before, 5th/6th seed at best. And how is MarShon Brooks not getting more playing time?

Brooks does not get PT because he plays little to no defense most times.

No, they never had to take on average joe, that was pure panic move. And they will have to live with it for a while.

Getting Wallace was a panic move as well. I'd take him on my team any day and the trade exception they got in that deal allowed them to sign Evans but it doesn't diminish the fact that the Wallace deal took them out of the Howard sweepstakes. Leading to panic and trading for iso-joe. Say what you want about Dwight but he anchors your defense and would've made a world of difference for the Nyets.

oh and the 6th pick they gave up for Wallace became Lilliard the rookie of the year. Orlando would've loved him, Lopez and Brooks for Howard

I must say it's nice of BK to take our old title of "Big Money for Average to Below-Average Results".

$330M for a .500 record.

Of course the clueless media overrated the nyets on paper which is no surprise. You cant just put a roster together woth a collection of overpaid allstars and expect to win games at a high rate

Well, I personally don't believe the Nets even make the postseason this year. Only time will tell but as of right now Brooklyn is tied with Boston for the 7th/8th seed with Orlando only 1 game behind both. The 76ers should become much improved once they get their big man in Bynum back.

There is a real chance we get Boston during the first round, unless they start to heat up and climb the standings. If the season were to end today? It's the Knicks (1) against the Celtics (8) during the first round. Miami would have Brooklyn. Atlanta (3) would have Indy (6) and Chicago (4) would have the Bucks (5).

I personally believe the Knicks, Heat, Bulls, Celtics, Hawks, Pacers, 76ers and Bucks will be our 8 Eastern Conference playoff teams. I also believe Orlando will finish ahead of Brooklyn as the 9th seed while Brooklyn drops to 10th behind all of the above. But yea, only time will tell but I look for teams such as the Bulls, Celtics, 76ers and Pacers to improve as the season goes on.

Chicago will get Rose back.
Pacers will get Granger back.
76ers will get Bynum back.

I don't think the Nets can (or will) keep up.

I mean it's possible. As of right now their the 7th seed but tied with Boston who's the 8th seed (record wise). Orlando is the current 9th seed, only 1 game back of Brooklyn and on a 4 game winning streak. As Orlando continues to learn how to play without Dwight Howard? I can see them passing Brooklyn. The 76ers? They are only 1.5 games back of Brooklyn despite the fact Bynum has yet to return. Once Bynum returns? Look for Philly to go on a rampage. As of 21 hours ago Bynum stated he feels much better. Will will meet with his orthopedic doctor on December 20th.

C: Andrew Bynum.
PF: Thaddeus Young.
SF: Evan Turner.
2G: Jason Richardson.
PG: Jrue Holiday.

Once Bynum returns, I like this Philly team so much more when compared to Brooklyn. They'll also have a strong bench with Nick Young, Spencer Hawes, Lavoy Allen and Dorell Wright.

To make a long story short, the Nets are only 1.5 games away from falling to the 10th seed with Boston, Orlando and Philly all on their trails.

25 games in. I don't think it means the Nyets will miss the playoffs and finish 10th

As I stated, only time will tell.

25 games in. I don't think that means the Nets will make the playoffs. See what I did there? Exactly.

But as of right now? The Nets are currently spiraling out of control. Remember their 11-4 start? Looking more and more like a fluke. They've now lost 3 consecutive and 8 of their last 10 overall.

Don't look now, but the Nets could be out of the playoff picture before you know it. Keep playing like this, and they will be.

They can't use the injuries excuse either now.

Oh my bad, they missed Jerry Stackhouse last night.

Woodson is great. Once the Nyets started doubling Melo he made sure the pgs got the ball to a cutting Tyson and it worked over and over again and the Nyets never adjusted
