A true Contender shows up motivated and comes out with 40 minutes of effort and takes care of business at home.

A Pretender comes out flat early and lets Greg Monroe run amuck like Asik did.

Let's try to elevate the level of discourse in this byeetch. Please

I'm not sure that Detroit is as bad as their record says they are. There's definitely some legit talent and the way Tyson has played this year Greg Monroe might just go off tomorrow.

These are big games. After getting embarrassed they need to come out and show some pride.

Sheed and Tyson Chandler should get more time together.

It would show they partied to hard for Thanksgiving, if they go and really blow out the Pistons.

Greg Monroe is a beast. He's gone off a few times this season.

Definitely, I didn't mean to imply that he wasn't.

Blowout, schmoe-out.

Win by one. 9-3 looks better than 8-4

Letting any team score 131 points, let alone the rockets, is an absolute disgrace. We don't have the right to look down on the Pistons after that. The way we've been playing defense the past game and a half, I expect Drummond and Greg Monroe to go to town on us. Come on Knicks, get your s*** together!

On a side note, Lawrence Frank came close to being our coach- if he hasn't turned down the assistant job with D'Antoni due to landing the head coach job in Detroit, he would have taken over when D'Antoni stepped down. Don't know why he's getting the blame in Detroit- don't really see what anyone can do with that team.

You would think this game a gimme, but the Pistons are not total push-overs. They balled OKC pretty tough and walloped the Celts. Pistons are 3-2 to our 2-3 over the last 5 and Monroe is a scary man and a legit 20/10 threat. With our soft-as-puppies interior defense, things can go from bad to worse in a heartbeat.

I still predict a win, though not a thrashing, and I would not be surprised by a Pistons win.

A Pistons win would instantly take this team back to the Isiah Thomas and Mike D'antoni era of losing basketball.

This will be a tough game, you all should know that you can't go strictly by a teams record. You have to be ready to play but every now and then, things don't go your way. At this moment, the Lakers have a 27 point lead on the Mavs at the half.....is it a case of the Lakers playing that well or is it that the Mavs are playing terribly? I'm sure all teams come to compete, most times things go the way they should and sometimes a team can look like crap....not always that teams fault, it's just the way it goes for that particular game. Now with all that said/written, I believe that the Knicks will win this game but I don't believe that it will be easy.

Some posters said there was no way we could lose the Rockets game. Honestly if we bring the same lack of defensive effort as we did last game, we can lose to any team by 30 points on any night.

There's a danger we'll probably be looking ahead to the game Vs the Nets. I'd like to see us put away the Pistons early so we're reasonably well rested for tomorrows game.

This current stretch of the schedule is crazy- lots of back to backs, and we have hardly any room for practice. Things quieten down in January and Feburary then March (when our older players will be tired anayway) is a killer- we have about 18 games. Can't afford to be taking nights off at this stage.

The Knicks wil win this one with ease, especially at home. They'll be determined to get out of this 2 game slump. I just really hope they beat the Nets on Monday.
