Watchin the Lakers - Rockets game and boy do the Lakers look good on offense runnin the faster pace, spread offense. They're just flowing and not holding the ball. The thing that will help them is that they have so many passers. Kobe ran a PnR with Pau, who then whipped a lob to D12 and it was so quick! They keep finding D12 in the Paint with one man on him cuz of all the passing and the spread floor. With that kind of spacing they're gonna be tough.

Everyone is involved and looking good. The only thing I see is that they're not really focused on D but if they should get back better and force teams into half court more often they'll get a lot of blowouts. What makes it tough is that they have so many guys that are hard to stop one on one, lot of smart passers and if they're gonna pass the ball this well it's gonna put a lot of pressure on teams defenses to stop Kobe, D12 and Pau.

D'Antoni 1-2 and already creating unnecessary drama.

D’Antoni decided to bench him for the entire fourth quarter while the game was (barely) within reach.

When asked what he was thinking afterward regarding Gasol, D’Antoni was fairly straightforward with his response.

“I was thinking I’d like to win this game, that’s what I was thinking,” he said, via Kevin Ding of the Orange County Register.
Nothing wrong with benching your guy but the smugness of the comment isn't necessary

I didn't take it as smugness. It's just a straight-forward response, no sugar coat. He thought that, for whatever reason, keeping Gasol on the bench gave them the best chance to win. I don't think it's anything deeper than that.

Poor choice of words for a guy known as being smug. If Woodson says that about Melo or Amare I think there is a huge uproar. Except he wouldn't say it. Maybe you talk about matchups etc. but he also didn't play Jordan Hill. Hill has been great for them. He is a live wire that hustles and does all of the little things.

I don't know if he's known as being smug. He's known as being honest and straightforward. He's the coach, so he's coaching.

People will quickly see the problem was never MDA, it was the Knicks and their players. Of course they were playing pretty well until a certain trade happened, but water under the bridge. After the donkees we had here MDA was refreshing and he will do a great job with the Lakers.

What a Jackass...........
