I dont have any problem with the current setup of using UK on your phone. I can relate to the zoom problem previously mentioned, but UK works just fine right now IMO. The only problem is when you want to post longer posts - then the zoom is annoying because you forget wtf you were replying to. But, for me, that's a very small problem, and I don't think there is a huge demand for a UK app so far.

But I wouldnt mind paying a small fee (a la typical apps on droids, iphones etc.) if you decided to make such an app, because I know it's for a good cause and for people I genuinely think deserve it.

kudos from denmark

hollie - if you don't have me on ignore.. lol. how did you get this site to update automatically? is that something that specific to the iphone?

martin - im here frequently on my droid incredible. viewing the site is no problem, but posting is extremely annoying so an app that might make it easier would work for me. although everyone else would hear from me alot more, so maybe you don't want to do that lol.

Quite honestly I don't even know why it refreshes on it's own but whenever I open the icon it does it automatically, if wasn't something I set up...I also had other websites set up the same way on iPhone which later had apps and I found the original websites were easier to maneuver that the actual apps..

Martin, as nyk4ever alluded to, you should investigate creating a mobile version of the site (using regular html) for smart phone users. So, basically, users could go to something like http://m.ultimateknicks.com or http://www.ultimateknicks.mobi and get html that's optimized for smart phones.

One example of this:

regular site: http://stackoverflow.com/
mobile site: http://www.stackmobile.com/questions.php?site=stackoverflow (best viewed on a smart phone)
(The weakness of this example is that the mobile version doesn't allow posting, but it does show what can be done.)

https:// It's not so hard.

For the sake of full disclosure I suggested a moblie site. I am on a Droid X now and was on a Blackberry Storm/Storm 2 back then. Reading is never an issue, imo. Posting has been an issue for a while via mobile. I am currently having the same issues posting as the other Android users. I don't know if there is a fix and I am unfamiliar with tapatalk.

After having used Tapatalk for awhile I would love to have Tapatalk be compatible with the forums. It makes navigating the forums with smart phone a breeze. No more trying to resize the screen to get the text or turning the phone sideways.

cool, thanks for feedback.

I had hoped to move in that direction but work hours took over for me. Do it when we can.

An alternative to TapaTalk would be to create a separate CSS style sheet for iPhone and Android that will "downsize" the page. TapaTalk, as a native phone app, would probably be even easier to use.

I would like for this forum to be app enabled considering this browser interface is not as intuitive. I can deal with safari on iPad, but definitely a tapatalk or other form of application would make posting easier.
