Usually, one heavy hitter dies in every season and I thought that it was going to be Tyrion's turn, courtesy of Cersei.

I liked how he remained arrogant to the end..."what, you're afraid of a dead whore?" As for Sibel Kikelli, she was a nice piece and will be missed in spite of her annoying accent.

Yeah, I'm going to miss Shae too. I'd like to be her lion, especially having found out that she is German. Do you think that she actually loved Tyrion or was she simply "a whore" like Tywin so eloquently stated?

Shae is simply whore in the books and you can make the case that Tyrion should've known better. Show Shae is different. I think she was genuine and Tyrion hurt her when he tried to get her to leave. Have you seen any of Sybeill's earlier work? Good stuff, although it might prevent her from going far in the ALBAs.

It's interesting to see which characters the directors try to add depth to. They portrayed Shae as a far more dynamic individual than I've heard of her referred to in the book. I really wonder why they choose to do what they do and how they do it. And no, I haven't seen any of Sybeill's earlier work. Why?

About the Mountain, how was he poisoned? Did Obrean have something to do with it or did his wounds become infected?

Also, I don't recall seeing Thorne in the last episode. Did he succumb to his wounds?

This was foreshadowed in episode 8 when Littlefinger told Robin Arryn that people die all the time....while eating dinner (Joffrey); in their bed (Shae); while squatting over their chamberpot (Tywin)

Prince Oberyn was called the Red Viper for good reason. He used poison on his weapons when he fought. So yes, it was Oberyn who inflicted the poison onto teh Mountain during the fight.

Good catch! Holy ****, that went right over my head. When he said it initially, I thought he was talking about killing Robin though that wouldn't make sense. I am hoping that Robin gets offed though.

LMFAO, I had no idea. Did a little background and it turns out that GOT employees a number of former and current porn stars for their sex scenes. It makes sense but I never would've guessed, even though I followed one of the girls from season 2 (Sahara Knite).

P.S., Sibell might be one of the rare porn stars that are better actresses than at sex. Truth be told, she kinda sucks as a porn star.

DO anyone think it might be Varys escorting Tyrion to the meet with Duck instead of Illyrio?

Not sure. There are theories involving Illyrio's motives and it might make sense to reintroduce him.

I was under the impression that Varys escorting Tyrion on the ship wasn't something planned. He seemed to be heading back to the castle but Tywin's body was discovered, which would've made him a prime suspect with Tyrion having had an inside man break him out.

I agree. That is how it looked.

Itll probably be Illyrio, Varys, and Tyrion....

It would make sense to keep Varys engaged in the storyline at this point for the TV viewers and keep him involved with Tyrion's storyline. They did already have Illyrio involved in the storyline in season 1 so I would think he'll be back as well.

Varys does skip town at this point anyway so why not send him on the same ship as Tyrion?

The only way you can explain is that The Hound is at 50% strength because he's been weakened by the infection. The Hound in one on one combat is definitely top 3-4. Brienne is very strong and has a melee win to her credit but her skills and even her size are not quite on par with The Hound.

Also was anyone else wholly unimpressed by the CGI in the scene where Bran and co. face off with the Wights and the Children of the Forest come to their aid. First of all, why were the wights suddenly the skeletons from Jason and the Argonauts. And why/how do the Children of the Forest shoot hadoukens?

Yeah, and the three-eyed crow reveal was disappointing too. It reminded me of the old templar from Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. The skeleton took a suspenseful book scene and turned it to a RL Stine creation.

Last Crusade ha ha... The only thing that I can think of is that those lands are not somewhere where most people go so those body's been buried for a looong time. That scene was missing coldhands though which made it suck that much more.

One thing that didn't make sense is that if you know the attack was coming why the heck did you wait send the children of the forest. I get Jojen okay with meeting his death but come on 3-eye you can't help my friend when you already seen what's coming?

And if the Children can shoot unstoppable fireballs, can they really not save Jojen? Come on.

BTW, the characterizations of Jamie and Cersei don't make any sense in my eyes. They've given Jamie lines to Cersei and Cersei lines to Jamie.

They just went to fast with Jaimie arch and it messed up his transformation. Also, I guess now we are going to miss out on Jaime thinking Cersei is a whore. I do like the scene Cersei had with Tywin because it got the character back to the crazy Cersei that is more like the book Cersei.
