People don't wanna go there and coach, the owner is a pervert!
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Also, Silas has friends, and they know it was BS to fire him, a guy who took their mediocre lineup and made it competitive, much like his friend JVG, who said "no thanks" to the Hornets without hearing an offer.

Floyd coached a horrible rebuilding team as a first year pro coach. Calling it the good ole boy network is innacurate.

I don't think they should have fired Silas. Having said this, Floyd deserves a second chance because he had ZERO chance to succeed in Chicago. Floyd's been getting a bad, unfair rap in the press. Eddie Jordan will probably end up with the Atlanta job. Silas has LeBron... VG, Yao and Stevie... what up? Everyone seems to be happy.... except Playa and Knick fans everywhere.

pike rain, i don't believe Cartwright is red Auerbach and he has done a much better job with that team than joe Shmoe ever did. i want the Right man for the Job, black or white i care less, the NBA wants the WHITE man for the job, right or wrong. It's just the way it is. 90 pct of the players are black, 90 pct of the owners are white. I'm not putting white people down don't take it personal, but it's so obvious. how many black coaches in the nba never played pro ball like Grunfield, Don nelsons son (who will be a coach soon) and the Warriors coach. John paxson is a GM for christ sakes. a YMCA player who should spit shine jordans sneakers. Yeah they are some Billy kings,

I knew someone was going to say that... baloney ARES, Floyd had Chandler and Curry raw out of high school in addition to garbage. That first year, Da Bulls may have been the worst NBA team in history.

Cartwright has done a good job but, was dealt a better hand than Floyd.

you guys still didn't define why this man deserves this job. Any time you get a job you must define why you deserve it. becuase he got a raw deal, that doesn't define why he deserves this new job.

I understand the frustration... in alot of cases its justified. This said, That Chicago team needed a coaching change, any change...they were devoid of any Veteran presence. Cartwright being a recent ex-player and 7'0 tall could intimidate when he needed to without any Veteran to back him up. The players knew Floyd was a lame duck stuck with an offense he didn't want to run, with no vet players to support him in the Lockerroom. Sometimes change for the sake of change is the remedy. Silas did get a raw deal... time had run its course their.. now he's coaching Lebron. Byron, Doc, Silas, Cartwright, Chaney, Nate McMillan, now maybe Mike Jarvis (rumored in Wash.)... things are getting better. This stigma of a black coach is more crystallised in Football, a real problem... IMO.

You must mean Van Gundy, not Grunfeld. Grunfeld was a pro player and has never been a coach.

Ares is showing signs of fatigue again(not enough sleep), don't mind him. Look we have Joe Dumars who has re-designed the Pistons and is trying to win a title from the front office now. Billy King at 37 at philly is the youngest GM in the league. Ex Denver Nugget WAYNE COOPER, Vice President of Basketball Operations of the Sacremento Queens, he oversees day to day business including all scouting and was responsible for finding Peja Stojakovic in 1996. He is the one who started the NBA's current influx of foreign players. Stu Jackson has went from coach, to Gm to Senior Vice president of Basketball operations in NBA. Isaiah Thomas went from player to Gm to coach all in the NBA. Ed Tapscott under EX B.E.T OWNER and NOW OWNER OF CHARLOTTE FRANCHISE is Executive Vice President will pick the new Gm and coach of that team. Also Doc Rivers one of the brightest head coaches in the game , future Gm in the league. Willis Reed Vice President of New Jersey Nets. Young Black coaches don't want go to a sucky teams like atlanta until they find out who the owner is because they will be on a shorter leash to succeed, they don't want to do what MARVIN LEWIS had to do going to the Bengals just to be the man. Basketball has guys on the move , now football that's another story!
