ESPN is reporting McDyess should be out most of the season. This is for real. I think NY has to call GS on their knees and beg for Danny Fortson right now and hope they give us a deal like before.

I don't think we're bad enough to get Lebron James. We're probably in the same position as last year... What I really hate about this is we basically just gave away that pick for nothing.....this is a recuring injury...if it wouldn't of happened last night it would of happened during the season anyways, so he won't be helping us next year either.

Well, we were close to getting the top pick (not much of a better record than Houston) so I don't think we are totally out of it. The Knicks are not anywhere near as bad as Denver is going to be this year....or Cleveland.

I still think we will make the playoffs. I think we can get somewhere between 6-8th seed.

I think Cleveland and Denver will be #1 and #2....If Miles emerges we may get the 2nd worse....so maybe...

Lets not jump to conclusions yet. This is still a rumor. We won't know til after 5. If this is the case however, Danny Fortson might be the best option.

Knicks dont make news on Sunday unless its big news. Knicks dont even make trades on sunday.

Knicks have to make a move for Fortson and kiss and make-up with Spree. The Sprewell + Houston combo looked like a lock for the rest of the season.

I think so too! No way we get anywere near the play-offs without McDyes!
But there's one good news today thought! I just won a game with my team Slama Jama Gröbenzell in the German minor-minor-minor league! ;-)

I was @ the game last night... and from the way he left the court it didn't look as bad as the Daily News are blowin' it up to be.

My fingers are crossed....
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

Yeesh... hate to return to the board when something like this happens...

Unfortunately, there is word on Dice.... www.msgnetwork.com reported that he fractured his patella (kneecap). Now, I'm no orthopedist, but wouldn't a broken bone, even the kneecap, be less severe than a tendon or ligament tear?

This is exactly why I said draft Amare and go after guys like Stromile Swift and Mike Redd. This is a nightmare the only news I want to know now is who is going to be the new GM. After all this BS they need to clear the boat.

Don't quote me on this, but I believe you need surgery for a broken Patella(screws), and basically it takes 6-8 weeks just to WALK correctly.

That injury is as bad as you can get--he tore the tendon that runs in back of the knee cap last year -now he has a complete fracture of the knee cap. I dont know if hell play for the Knicks again--it shows serious instability in the Knee--for all intensive purposes it could be the end of his athletic ability.

Got this from another board

well boys and girls--this is worse than an ACL--I dont think mcdyess will ever play in the NBA again. He tore the tendon[patella] and the doctors reattached it to the bone. Now the bone shattered [knee cap] hes done through count him off the list denver got the better of the deal because AM will never play 1 minute for the NY Knicks
