NEW YORK: The Knicks are still shopping, Keon Clark appears to be in the picture again, but without a deal with Toronto its unlikely. Reports from the region say a deal with Milwaukee died this weekend when Glenn Robinson was arrested. The Knicks are still offering Kurt Thomas and Charlie Ward to a number of clubs, and both players seem to have appeal. Thomas had a breakout season last year, and Ward's ending deal appeals to those looking for space in 2003. The Knicks still seem poised to make a deal, what that deal turns out to be still is not clear.
Seems like Keon Clark is still in the picture for the exception. If we can get him than Layden can't hesitate in offering him the whole exception. If Toronto matches we can just try to swing a deal. Maybe sending Spoon, Harrington, or if it comes down to it, Thomas for Keon.
Thanks for posting that news...
At least that's
something about Keon... Maybe the next tidbit will be about his visit to NY. If we had to make a deal w/toronto, I'd give up Spoon or Eisley (if they'd take him). I think we can still keep Kurt and get Clark. If no other trades happen, the $1.4M exeption can be used if needed.
I feel the same as you regarding Clark getting the full exception, he's the only one worth it (and has been).

Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year.
GO KNICKS!
