He could very well be. It would be nice to have an all-star starter representing New York. Thoughts?

There is no doubt we have the best PF in the eastern conference. Antoine Walker is a distant 2nd.

There is no doubt in my mind that McDyess will be an All-Star if he can return to 100%.

I'm a big fan of him but I think his playoffs performance may have lowered his value. Still the guy is only 23, if I had to pick between him or McDyess I'd take him in a heartbeat...

In the east O'Neal is as much a center as you're going to find even though he's starting at PF. O'Neal is younger, but if McDyess is healthy i think he will be a slightly more productive player next year. I predict McDyess averages 20 and 10 next season.

No question about it if he is healthy.

It's a big "if" though.

Dice assures us he is 100% healthy. Then again, so did Camby last offseason. Remember all that weight-lifting and donut-eating that led us all to think he would be a true center who would play over 65 games? He only played in 30. That's triple the amount that McDyess played in though.
We suck.

McDyess could've played 30 to 40, but with his contract situation and state of the team it was smarter for him just to sit out the rest of the year. McDyess isn't going to be playing center, either.

That one is easy...

How many pure 4's are there is the East? I saw a couple of suggestions, and:

- Jermaine O'Neal is being groomed to be more of a 5...

- Antoine Walker in indeed a D-I-S-T-A-N-T second, making first place obvious...

This goes along with the faith that his knees are solid, which I don't doubt (since McDyess sat out the latter segment of last season to rehab).

BTW, McDyess should be ONE of our starters on the All-Star team this coming year. Please believe it.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

McDyess even said that not only does he expect to get back to his form of two seasons ago, but he expects to be even better because he's two years older, entering his prime at 27, and his knee strengthening excercises have gooten him stronger than ever. I think we're in a pretty good situation having him right now.

Man, I would not rank Walker very high. I do not like his game at all!

He'll have to pass a physical for the trade to be completed. I believe McDyess when he says he's healthy...

He took the physical on Friday after the press conference. The results should be out by Monday evening...

I'm confident he passed it, the NY Daily News said that he had been playing 3 on 3 since the season ended and that he has been lifting weights and running for several months...

From what i hear, he did indeed pass it. He's going to be the best PF in the east by far. If we add Keon we are set.

Ahh... Music to my ears. I was waiting on that news!
BTW, we should still have a good chance @ signing Keon, even if the Raptors can match now.

We have a starting spot to offer Keon and a team with what seems to be a bright season ahead of them. We can also offer him that max deal which i'm sure he'd love. Also consider him and Dyess played together in Denver and are good friends from what i hear. It sounds like we have a good shot at him, doesn't it?

Oh yeah, they did play in Denver together...
Once again, McDyess is making a difference before he even steps on the MSG hardwood!

Keon should be receiving the "Offer he can't Refuse" from our Knicks early this week. I'm waiting for that news next...

Is it tomorrow that players and teams can start talking? As soon as we can, Keon has to be first option and they need to let him know that they want him in new york more than any other free agent.
